The doll you can finally draw on, and not get in trouble
The one thing we all have in common is childhood, many of us are still in it, many of us can’t run far enough away from it. The key is to honor the child we once were and move on to a healthy and happier life.
My Inner Child Dolls were inspired by my art work which I began downsizing because of the numerous responses I received from people telling me how they brought up certain memories when growing up. I began making them into 3D art dolls to give people the opportunity to adopt them and connect with them as often as they could. These Inner Child Dolls can be used as a catalyst to reconnect with your childhood to heal old wounds, or rediscover the joy, fun and innocence of your younger years.
These unique dolls are meant to be used, frayed, painted, colored, stitched, glittered, glued, honored, cherished, loved and hugged.
They are great for Kids of any age & are great for fostering creativity.
Everyone needs to be creative, it is what makes us whole. The most important aspect of these dolls is the process of creating them in any likeness you want. Snipping the frayed edges, holding it, and painting it with care, and honoring the outcome. Whatever it happens to be.
The creative process alone can be very healing and gratifiying. This is wonderful in a group setting, with friends, or by yourself.
The Process:
Each Doll is made by hand, and of course a sewing machine. (I am not that crazy). I use quality canvas and I silk screen the design with Fabric Paint, and then stuff with Polyfil.
Each Doll is approx. between 10-14 in. Height x 10 in. arm span (Brat, Diva)
